With this blog, I intend to share my experiences on the trail. This blog will not be without bugs (the biggest being myself, perhaps). Some caveats follow:
The site might not work right
Clearly I am an amateur at this. I did all the web site work myself using the tools available on WordPress. Please have patience with me. I will try to clear issues as I can with the time I have available. You can always email me with issues on the site.
I might offend someone
This is highly likely, but unintentional. I may say things that are insensitive, it’s true. Feel free to call me out on the comments. Please be courteous. Know that while I may have opinions, they are often uninformed. I can always learn, even though changing is harder.
I might not respond quickly
To eliminate really offensive comments, I am reviewing them before they appear on the post. Those that know me will tell you I am quite tolerant of remarks. (Sticks and stones may break my bones…) However, I am on a hike in the middle of the wilderness and cell reception is not always present. Furthermore, checking for comments on the blog is not a super high priority from the trail. Even when I am in town, there is much to do that has a higher priority. It is not my intention to ignore anyone. I will get to it when I can.
I might not make regular posts
I am still not sure if I have the desire or the ability to make regular posts. Knowing that people are following me increases the chance of regular posts. Cell service is also critical. I make create several posts before uploading them, so they will pop up on the site all at once. To make matters easier, I will try to send out an email with each new post or series of posts.
It might not be interesting
I expect I will have the time of my life on the trail. My desire is to share that enjoyment. If there is anything you would like to see more of, just drop me an email or a text. I really won’t know what you folks find interesting, if y’all don’t tell me
Privacy
I am concerned with privacy. I have tried to use tools that protect your privacy, too. Of course, I sort of don’t know what I am doing with this website, but I am learning. Here is a page that has more statements about privacy on this site.
